Category - Today’s White Church Is Complicit in These Racial Sins – And Therefore Must Lead In Their Dismantling
R acial sin is not just personal racial animus, but is mostly the building and maintenance of discriminatory systems (structural racism). These systems are built and maintained by the 65% plus white electoral majority. The votes of the majority white community jointly and severally result in the enactment of laws that have a direct, disproportionate and discriminatory effect on Black, Native American, Latino, Asian, and other minority and marginalized people groups. These laws establish accompanying discriminatory systems, appropriated budgets (or lack thereof) for their establishment and maintenance, and result in racially, economically and socially oppressive cultural norms.
