Category - James White

james whiteJames White is the director of Alpha and Omega Ministries, an evangelical Reformed Baptist Christian apologetics organization based in Phoenix, Arizona and an elder of Apologia Church in Arizona. He earned ThM, ThD and DMin degrees from Columbia Evangelical Seminary, an unaccredited online school. He was also a critical consultant for the Lockman Foundation‘s New American Standard Bible.[10].

Rev. White is a staunch opponent of social justice, and posits a theology that emphases the “work ethic.” He teaches that since men differ in gifts and abilities, that God and His word are “fundamentally incompatible with the “economic equality” demands of the social justice movement.”

In emphasizing the “work ethic” while simultaneously teaching that differing gifts and abilities mean (ipso facto) that God is not concerned with systemic injustices that result in economic inequality, and by implication that His Church should not be concerned about widespread (and correctable) systemically-caused poverty, Rev. White substitutes eisegesis (his biases and world view) for exegesis (God’s character and commands as ubiquitously revealed all throughout His word). The result is a theology that is devoid of God’s deep concern for the downtrodden, oppressed, marginalized and silenced.  It is devoid of God’s clear commands for love, mercy, and justice – including widespread (or social) justice.  The God of scripture is clearly not cool with anybody suffering unjustly, let alone with huge demographic populations suffering so at the systemic clamp of oppressors, classes or electoral systems (Isaiah 1:17, Isaiah 10:1-4, Proverbs 31:8-9, Amos 5:24, Luke 3:3-14, a priori and et. seg.).

As racial animus is not necessary to espouse a theology that results in widespread racial oppression, Rev. White has, without personal racial animus, and without perceiving that his zeal and biases have caused him to eisegete an incorrect and harmful theology, has become one of the most vociferous progenitors of New Jim Crow Theology today.
